Tuesdays 11 - Noon: All levels EXPRESS class.  In just an hour, we'll cover deep tissue yin stretching, pranayama (breathing exercises), "California Core" work-out in the Forrest Yoga style, Inversions, standing sequences, balancing, and meditation. Take a midday productivity break for classical yoga, taught as "meditation in motion," delivering far more health benefits than fitness yoga alone.   In order to take this class you should be able to move easily between seated and standing positions. This class is contra-indicated for those with osteoporosis, uncontrolled high blood pressure, uncontrolled GRD (these conditions may be OK for the Thurs Class).   Class is for 12 weeks, starting SEPT 7th - NOV 23rd.   Cost: $132.   Drop-in $15

Thursdays 11 - Noon: All levels RESTORATIVE / GENTLE Yoga.   Maybe you've wanted to do yoga, but have some health issues that make traditional classes seem inaccessible; on the other hand, maybe you're a top athlete wanting to "undo" the stress of repetitive motion and ensure longevity in your sport.    Whether you're dealing with health and wellness issues like joint or back pain, insomnia, stress, CFS, FM, MS--or wanting an "ounce of prevention," this is the class for you!   You should be able to move between sitting and standing w/ relative ease; slow is OK. Class will incorporate bolsters, ties, and blankets.   There will be some inversions and standing poses to build core, ensure spinal health and promote bone density. Please email instructor w/ specific health concerns.   Class is for 12 weeks, starting SEPT 9th - DEC 2nd (No class Thanksgiving)   Cost: $132.   Drop-in $15

Take both sessions for just $240 -- That's only $10 per class.

Small Group Yoga for students wanting to start yoga or existing students who want to take their practice to the next level.
10 class sequence. $180.00.

      Small Group Yoga with Shaila for committed students who either want to start yoga with an excellent foundation or existing students who want to take their practice to the next level.   Class content will be greatly influenced by student feedback and individual goals.   Maybe you've always wanted to do a handstand up the wall, or, just learn to breath better in your everyday life--both are worthy goals and can be addressed in this smaller setting. Perhaps you've just been too intimidated to take a large class or, you have a chronic injury or condition you need to manage or for which yoga might be therapeutic.   This class will be all levels and highly interactive with many hands-on assists, Thai resistance stretching and individual coaching.

      You will finish the 10 weeks well equipped to partake and be safe in any yoga class, any yoga style.   You may also find you will be on your way to cultivating a home practice and integrating yoga as a wellness strategy for life! And, 10 weeks is a long enough period of time to notice structural changes in the body from better core and upper body strength, flexibility and range of motion.  

      Wanted: 6 committed individuals--dedication level is more important than fitness level. You should be able to move from seated postures to standing postures with relative ease. If you have to miss a class, you may be able to make it up at another time/location.
