Engage body, mind and spirit through the practice of yoga. Our instructors specialize in Iyengar Yoga for people of any age group, physical ability or condition. Taught by Carlton Morris.

Iyengar Yoga is based on the principle of having the body become structurally aligned through yoga asanas (poses). Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar created Iyengar Yoga. Students use props to aid in directing the body into proper alignment as well as allowing for a deeper understanding of the poses. Props can also assist in preventing injuries.

This class is for beginners and continuing students working at Level 1. Class will focus primarily on standing poses and will introduce a variety of beginning poses. Mindfulness and balance will be studied throughout the class work.

Please be aware that yoga is best if practiced 2-4 hours after meals. Also students should wear comfortable clothing that allows instructor to observe body alignment (no baggy clothes) and bare feet. No strong fragrances, please.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is designed to for anyone who needs to take a moderate approach to practicing and learning yoga. We will stretch, balance, strengthen, and restore our bodies and minds with gentle yoga exercises, meditation, and relaxation.

This class is ideal for people recovering from injury, minor surgery, cancer patients (past and present), seniors, and post-natal moms (6 weeks out), and anyone who could use some gentle movement. This class is a fun, non-judgmental, non-competitive environment, so come in and enjoy some gentle yoga!

Beginning Yoga

This intro to yoga class is designed to put the student at ease by leaving judgment and competition at the door! We will learn to breathe, stretch, balance and strengthen in a fun enjoyable environment. No experience necessary, but all levels are welcome. Come with an open mind and ready to enjoy your yoga practice.

Continuing Yoga

Continuing Yoga is for any student with previous yoga experience who wants to deepen their practice. The focus of the class is on breathwork, asana, and meditation, for a balance between mind and body.

Yoga for Cancer Patients

This yoga class is designed for anyone who is currently being treated for cancer, has been treated for cancer in the past, or anyone living with the impact cancer  can have on the mind and body. Class will consist of opening meditation, check-in, gentle physical movements, and a wonderful final relaxation segment at the end of class.

No yoga experience needed, this is a friendly, positive, non-judgemental environment.
