Cary
Hakam received his B.A. in Chinese Studies from the University
of Minnesota and spent five years in the Orient studying languages,
yoga and Eastern philosophy before turning his focus onto Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM). Cary served for more thaneight
years as an apprentice and interpreter for two of the most
distinguished and respected TCM doctors in Minnesota: Drs.
Li Gu and Xinrong He of the TCM Health Center. Concurrent with
his apprenticeship, Cary completed a four-year M.S. degree
in TCM from the nationally honored American Academy of Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM).
Fluency in Chinese language, a passion for Eastern philosophy,
and actively exploring the mind-body-spirit continuum through
meditation and yoga lead Cary to the vast healing wisdom of
traditional Chinese medicine.Cary also teaches Tai Chi
(Yang style Tai Ji). He began training in Tai Ji fifteen
years ago and has taught classes over the last six years.
Cary is available Mondays and Wednesdays. Please call for an appointment.
