Heal Your Whole Self.
About Healing Waters
of White Bear Lake
In the beginning, there was the Lake. And the Lake was good. In fact, it was so good that weary travelers, in the latter half of the 19th century, came on paddleboats up the mighty Mississippi to immerse themselves in the "healing waters" of White Bear Lake.
What sets us apart?
- Highly-credentialed practitioners and instructors with advanced training/experience, including special needs (e.g.- breast cancer, hospice care and specific injuries.)
- Wide variety of healing therapies and classes in one convenient location.
- Business owned by a 20-year industry veteran, who understands client needs and created Healing Waters based on client experiences and feedback.
- A beautiful new office designed specifically for complementary therapies. Conveniently located downtown in White Bear Lake on a major highway and bus line.
Twenty-five trains a day left St. Paul’s Union Depot to bring passengers from throughout the Midwest to five train stations located near the Lake. History tells of a "pulmonary brigade" of individuals hoping to cure their respiratory illnesses by visiting the Lake.
Remaining faithful to our history, we invite you to bring your stress, your painful, aching muscles and your desire to learn new ways to be healthy in body and mind. Healing Waters' complimentary health care services is located just a few short blocks from the lake in beautiful White Bear Lake.
At the dawn of the twenty-first century, we have expanded our understanding of healing to embrace the latest in western research along with ancient wisdom of the east. At Healing Waters, we offer an expanded perspective of cause, effect and establishment of a natural balance in body, mind and spirit.

Mary Jo Lohn is the creator and owner of Healing Waters Ltd. She has been a massage therapist for twenty years and incorporates many modalities into her work. She holds a Masters Degree in Human Development, which includes the study of complimentary therapies, and 30 months of training in Hakomi, a body-centered psychotherapy.
Mary Jo first became convinced of the need for body, mind, spirit therapies as part of the founding staff of Women's Advocates, Inc., in St. Paul, the first shelter in the United States for victims of family violence. While there she witnessed what extreme stress can do to physical and mental health.
Mary Jo has brought together a team of skilled practitioners and instructors who are at the top of their field. Our entire staff is committed to providing you with instruction and treatment that facilitate healing for the whole person: the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual human being that you truly are.
